We are all aware of what's currently happening in Philippines.. The murder of 40+ people (which includes media people and journalists) in Maguindanao, the corrupt yet unwilling to waver government, terrorism, recession, price hikes.. As per the news I heard this morning, we are currently competing with Iraq as the number 1 country which is unsafe for medias and journalists. Hell, we even ranked as one of the top as the most corrupt government.

So.. What else is good in Philippines?

It's people like Efren Peñaflorida.

Efren Peñaflorida grew up in Cavite, established Dynamic Teen Company (DTC) when he was still 16 with three other friends and lead different youth awareness projects, talent and self development activities and community services. One sample of his various projects is "Kariton Kalsrum" (Pushcart Classroom) which teaches reading and writing to children from slum areas. Because of DTC, youth which are previously oriented and engaged on the harsh reality of drugs and violence lead a cleaner and more meaningful life.

Oh, he's also CNN's Hero of the Year. The government kept looking for people or group who can contribute to the betterment of Philippines and yet, they don't look inside their Mother Land.. Philippines needs lots and lots of Efren Peñafloridas.. The government should look up to him and his group for examples.

Kudos Efren and to team DTC~ More power and do continue your good work. We're totally proud of you!

A Japanese gamer (named as SAL9000) officially married Nene Anegasaki.

Not much of a headline when you read it, neh? But try to dig in a little bit deeper and you'll find out that Nene Anegasaki is actually a character (one of the 3 virtual GFs) from a Nintendo DS dating sim game, "Love Plus". The "couple" is married at a church in Guam and returned to Japan for their reception last November 22 >.< He then invited media people (and the internet through webcam) to attend and even prepared slide shows of their relationship before marriage.

Love Plus: Nene

"Love Plus" is actually making it's own name in Japan for being the first "almost reality" based love sim game.. I mean.. Commonly when we say love sim game, we only tend to choose from a multiple-type question right? In "Love Plus", the gamer actually get to "whisper" sweet nothings to their virtual GF through a microphone.. So imagine playing the game in a public area =P

Your virtual GF might request you to hold her hands and even kiss but it doesn't mean that you have to kiss your DS unit though.. Just use your mighty stylus, touch her lips and voila, you got to kiss her >.< Go figure..

"Ok, this is pretty embarrassing. The DS has a mic and a touchscreen, so... one time, she asked me to say 'I love you' a hundred times into the mic. I was on the airplane when she asked me that, so I was like, no way. There was also this part where you have to hold her hand on the touchscreen. If you touch her hand with the stylus, you get to hold her hand. And then there's the part where you have to kiss her."

OMG! So did he?

"No, no!" he responded when prodded by the interviewer. "The girl's face shows up on the screen, and you have to touch her lips to give her a kiss. That's pretty weird.... this is embarrassing. I'm sweating right now just talking about it."

Honestly now.. Aren't gamers taking love sims to the next level? There are wives and GFs who actually complained that they are being two-timed by their partners with a virtual GF >.< Well, as long as they're happy, who am I to comment right?

Lolz~ I also read that in an interview, the wife of the gamer who got addicted into "Love Plus" finds herself addicted to a game entitled Ryu ga Gotoku 3 *whistles* Ninomiya~

2. Aside from the fee of PhP 270, kindly bring extra cash if you're interested in purchasing Arashi/JE goods. There will be attendees who will be selling official concert goods, otakaras, etc. during the event.
3. If there are other attendees who want to sell their goods (official or not), please do inform the organizers ahead of time.
   
4. Kindly recheck your names on our attendees list which can be found HERE and make sure that your name is listed.
5. To those who will be performing on 28th, kindly PM me on what your going to perform. We're currently laying out the program.

We all know that from the most recent bout, Pacquio won over Cotto. I'm not too sure if you guys noticed it but by this time, most of us SHOULD (or supposed to) be talking about Pacquiao's success.. But then, most news and headlines talked about Pacquiao's supposed to be affair with Krista Ranillo..

Everytime Pacquio wins and returns to Philippines, the government would prepare a welcome party (with motorcade and parade) for him. My mom and I were talking about Pacquiao's motorcade which will pass by Luneta today. This is our conversation.. Noon at Ngayon version:

*in a "GOIN' BULILIT VOICE"* NOON:

Mom: Agahan mo uwi mo ah.. Baka traffic.. Motorcade ni Pacquiao ngayon..
Lei: Uu nga pala noh.. Ano oras parade niya? Baka makasilip kami..
[and the conversation goes on about how Pacman won the fight, etc]

It's my first time going to Manila Ocean Park and I felt like a kid XD I'm not too much into fishes.. I don't have the interest in taking care of them.. I only have interest in eating them >_< *hides from Riida* I've been to Hong Kong Ocean Park before so I wasn't expecting much on Manila Ocean Park demo.. Personally, I can say it's something we (Filipinos) can be proud of ^-^ Before I start, all pics are taken using my Samsung D980 phone, so please don't expect pics with high resolutions and since I'm not a photographer, don't expect images with spectacular shots =p

Manila Ocean Park is situated just behind the Quirino Grandstand in Luneta. The Oceanarium is situated overlooking the Manila Bay. We all know how clean *sarcastic roll of eyes* Manila Bay is but the water used for the whole Oceanarium is acquired from the bay. As per the guide, the water is purified to meet the temperature requirement of the marine creatures to survive and adapt. For more info about the place, feel free to visit their MAIN SITE and WIKI

Manila Oceam Park (MOP) is divided into several sections: (1) Agos/Flow – a rainforest motif complete with 8 tanks of freshwater fishes. (2) Bahura/The Reef – exhibition of artificial corals in 48 tanks. (3) Laot/Fishing Ground – features big fish and Eagle-spotted rays in a long tank. (4) Buhay na Karagatan/Living Ocean – the main attraction of the oceanarium is a 25-meter long walkway tunnel with 220-degree curved acrylic walls. (5) Kalaliman/The Deep - showcases marine animals found in the deepest parts Philippine waters. (6) Pagi/Sting Ray – variety of rays fly over while you're under this unique Overhang Tank. (7) Pating/Shark – features several species of shark.

As soon as we got into the Ocenarium, we immediately checked out the aquariums. The place is clean and they made it look like the fishes are living in natural environment. The aquariums are not as huge as the ones in Hong Kong Ocean Park but again, welcome to Philippines =p And here's Agos/Flow section.

We were then lead inside to view more aquariums.. Hey.. It's an Oceanarium.. What can we expect but marine lives, fish. fish and more fish ^0^ Here's some pics from Laot/Fishing Ground ^-^ Doesn't that crab looks soooo familiar? =p

Here are some pics from Laot/Fishing Ground. The pics are quite dark since I didn't used flash inside the place.. Huge (and I mean huuuuge) fishes are housed here. Look at the cute color-changing chairs.. Lolz~
 

I've piled up Buhay na Karagatan/Living Ocean, Kalaliman/The Deep, Pagi/Sting Ray and Pating/Shark areas into one pic post ^-^ The mermaid show can be seen from this area but it's better to actually see it in their special viewing room ^-^

Ram got this additional coupon where we can avail one of their attractions for free. We chose the Underwater Boat Ride over Fish SPA (where they have this small fished eat the dirt off your foot.. Remember the AnS episode where they had little fishes in an aquarium/bowl and Arashi got to dip their faces into it and their faces are nipped by little fishes? That's the one, only in MOP, you get to dip your feet in..) since we thought that we get to ride on this boat-thingy and go underwater with the fishes demo we got it wrong~ Lolz~ We did rode a boat but we were not submerged underwater. The boat had an acrylic mirror at the bottom where you can see the fishes. Think of going snorkeling, only you're riding a boat >_<

To those who have seen Aiba's TSD when he went to Philippines, remember that vehicle he saw while on his way to Malabon Zoo? Not the one he rode but the one he pointed at.. It's the most common public vehicle here in Philippines which we call "Jeepney".

After lunch, we headed for the Jellyfish exhibit which they called "Jellies: The Dancing Sea Fairies".. An exhibit full of jellyfish and we got a dose of Last Song Syndrome (LSS) with Canon.. Lolz~

And finally.. The Mermaid Show.. The show was done in a special viewing room with this aquarium. The mermaids, of course, gets to perform with the fishes, including a shark (which looks like a cross breed of sting ray and shark) and sting rays..

And our Ocenarium trip is complete ^-^ We then decided to walk through the Chinese Garden in Luneta Park.. It's been eon years since I last visited the park.. I last went to Chinese Garden when I was 7 years old I think.. Here are some pics of Chinese Garden and some sights inside Luneta Park
